Our National Games: Axis Remembers offers a staged reading of Gerard Humphreys’s political drama that revisits the 1970 Arms Crisis, a pivotal moment in recent Irish history. The reading, directed by former Axis Artistic Director Ray Yeates, will feature a cast that includes Michael Judd, Marcus Lamb, Jed Murray, Céire O’Donoghue and Simon Keogh. After the performance, a panel chaired by Yeates will bring together actor Stephen Rea, former MEP Patricia McKenna and the playwright himself to discuss the historical context and the play’s development.
