On Friday 9 October 2026 the Croí Galway 5km Night Run will take place along the Salthill Prom, offering a scenic route for runners, walkers and joggers alike. The event supports Croí’s health programmes, educational initiatives and accommodation for families of heart and stroke patients at Galway University Hospital. Participants receive a chip‑timed finish and a medal, making it a pleasant evening activity for individuals and families.
The run is open to all ages: adults pay €35, while students, youth and those over 65 benefit from a reduced rate, and children under 12 can join for free when accompanied by an adult. The night atmosphere adds a unique twist to the usual morning run, and the coastal promenade provides a pleasant backdrop for the 5‑kilometre distance.
