A joyful one day singing workshop – natural voice, rich harmonies, uplifting songs. All voices welcome. No experience needed.
Una McCann
Una is based in Belfast, where she works as a choir leader and songwriter. She has been leading groups in harmony since her school days and has been working professionally with adult singers for 15 years. In Belfast, Antrim and Ballymena she runs big community choirs and also enjoys running singing holidays and retreats.
Una encourages a group to be wholly present, to listen intently, to be sensitive to each other and to appreciate what we can achieve in this moment as this group. There is no singling people out or auditions, no criticism or judgement.
As a song-writer, Una writes melodies and words that will stay in your head for weeks to come. Her joy and wonder for life is infectious and comes across through her popular songs. The songs are sometimes rousing and uplifting, bringing you to your feet for a boogie and sometimes slow and beautiful with rich harmonies that will soften any hard edges. The songs that we sing are not religious.
Every voice is welcome – especially shy singers or people who have been told not to sing.
Come and be a part of a beautiful harmonious day of song.

Practical Details
The workshop will start at 11am and finish at 4pm. There will be comfort breaks and a break for lunch. Food is not provided but you are welcome to bring your lunch with you and you will have access to the Centre kitchen. Teas and coffees will be available.
Children aged 10 and over are welcome. Anyone under 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult.
