The Run Galway Bay event on Saturday 3 October 2026 offers a choice of distances – a full marathon, a half marathon and a 10 km run/walk – winding along the flat, scenic coastline of Galway Bay. Participants will follow a loop that starts in The Claddagh, passes the popular spots of Salthill and Blackrock, and returns to a cheering crowd beside the event tent in The Claddagh. The half marathon and 10 km races support Cancer Care West, adding a charitable dimension to the day’s fitness challenge.
